Deception and obfuscation are dangerous. Both are morally abhorrent when it comes to national security issues.

For whatever it’s worth, I messaged Pete Hegseth and invited him to look at the Chowder II group and read Compass Points on Substack. Maybe, and it’s a minuscule maybe, he would.

If anyone who follows Compass Points have an in with Mr. Hegseth, reach out to him. He needs to be educated on the neutering of the Marine Corps and what it means to our national security.

Excellent perspective and observations! VISION2035 is needed immediately by Trump's SecDef and SecNav must provide instant oversight while mandating this to reverse and restore the damage to our MAGTF capabilities caused by FD2030! Semper Fi!

We may well find in coming days, weeks and months that many current flag officers are asked to retire, and that an expedited route for some 06’s to General officers occurs. I wouldn’t want to explain to anyone let alone a SecDef bent on change, that I supported the neutering of the Marine Corps, and reduced its ability to meet its Title X mandate. Time will tell. Hey look at the bright side, maybe the active duty Marines will finally get a new functional PT uniform!
